We are delighted to announce that CBHC has won the Highly Commended Essex Business Award for Innovation!
Accountancy isn’t really a profession that is associated with proactivity and change – it’s perceived to be more focused on tax returns and compliance – but CBHC LLP has turned this stereotype on its head, and reinvented its services to actively help clients achieve their business objectives.
In recognition of their fresh approach to accountancy, the firm was Highly Commended for Innovation at the Essex Business Excellence Awards, during an inspirational ceremony held at Braxted Park last Thursday, attended by the cream of the region’s business community.
CBHC was recognised for the way in which it has widened the availability of the valuable assistance commonly offered by large corporate practices to their large corporate clients. Previously, SMEs have not been easily able to benefit from this level of support – until CBHC launched its new Business Advisory department in 2009. This new division provides corporate reviews and forecasting, market intelligence and benchmarking, board meeting support, advice on systems development and profit improvement, training on business planning techniques and corporate finance assistance.
“We’re over the moon to have been awarded this accolade for innovation,” said Gary White, Business Advisory Director. “We believe that we are the only firm in Essex that has invested in a completely separate division that is devoted to strategic consultancy, and we’re proud to be leading the field. The accountancy profession has taken a long time to wake up to the fact that our business is about people and information, not just numbers and reporting. At CBHC we have invested in this vision of the future, and have seen a transformation within our own and our clients’ businesses as a result.”
